Hello,

I currently have a LG mobile that is a 24month contract at £25 with T-Mobile. The phone is ok but I'm keen on an iPhone, but decided I'd just wait for my contract to end.

Although today a friend (who's with O2) said she would take over my phone contract so that I can be released to get an iPhone on a brand new contract, along as she can keep her number, is this possible? As far as I'm aware we'd just need to both be in the T-Mobile store to explain and then it'll ok be?

Any thoughts on whether is is possible?

Ta!

As long as the company gets its money every month like agreed there shouldn't be a problem, just means changing a lot of details :)

Why would your friend take it over? That is very generous. You paying her a lump sum payment to be fair?

To save the hassle, why don't you just get her to set up a standing order into your account and keep it all in your name?

As awful as it sounds a lot can change in a year or so.

If the contract is still in is name if anything happens he is still liable.

Do it the proper way, don't take the easy route as it could cost you.
