Friend trying to join up here

Hello all I have a friend trying to join up here with a Hotmail address, am I right in thinking OcUK forums doesn't except this type of email address and if not, please could someone tell me what would be an appropriate one?

I believe once he has signed up he can turn it to any address. If you don't have any other options, I can make him an address on my website.

Thanks if your offering, not to worry though as he has a Virgin account just never used the email.
