My friend has told me that they want to plug their computer into the TV in the same way I have done using a HDMI lead. When I did this and installed the drivers from Nvidia, it was all fine, it defaulted to 1080p and I haven't had a problem since. He has got the drivers and has plugged into the TV but he describes the problem as the screen not being filled with the picture and it not being in res with the words all jaggy. I have made him make sure the computer is set to 1080p in control panel but other than that I am not sure as it worked fine for me. Any ideas on other checks?

It's an ATI 4830, I don't know the rest of the system spec, would you need it?

There's also an option in CCC which you have to fiddle with, can't remember where it is but it should be under desktop properties and something to do with overscan or something like that. Default is set to something like 15% but once you move it to 0% then it should fill the whole screen.

Neither of these worked. He said he had already tried the just scan option and it didn't work and he couldn't find the option Orcvader was talking about.

He has told me he gave up and used VGA.

Thanks anyway, if it was me I would probably spend a lot longer trying to get the HDMI to work and find out the problem but oh well. He has stopped interrupting my playing of Portal 2 now so it's all good :)
