My friend who lives quite far away from me just told me that his PC has started playing up. He said that it is restarting itself, Firefox is crashing all the time too. He also said that there is less than 1% of space free on his HDD. He said that he has tried 3 antivirus programs and they've found nothing and when he tries some cleaner program it is telling him that he has p0rn somewhere on his comp, like in his documents but he can't actually find it himself. He said he knows this as it says a p0rny sounding name blonde ****** you know the rest.

I've told him to check processes etc for anything suspicious and nothing, told him to check proxy settings on FireFox, nothing.

Any help please guys?

1% of space free means he doesnt have sufficient room for a pagefile so his system is grinding to a halt, he needsa bigger drive or to remove a stack of crap, and then defragment the drive.

With less than 10% often windows can't defreg properly, so deal with the cause of the full drive first.

The 'cleaner' program tells him he has porn? Really?
Sound like thats a malware program, as last i checked porn isn't bad for your PC, so something warning you that you have porn, is a made up POS designed to scare kiddies into installing more spyware.

Find out the name of this 'cleaner' program and what it is actually telling him.

Will do. Thanks bud. I asked him what the files were but he said he had no idea as he could not get to them.

Likely because they do not exist.

He needs to free up some disk space. The first step is to run Disk Cleanup, which is cleanmgr.exe from the Run dialog. Or he can go to his drive and right-click then Properties > Tools. Nuke everything.

Now he needs to uninstall any software he doesn't use. No point leaving it to take up space!

Install CCleaner and have it get rid of some more crap [Disk Cleanup does a pretty good job, but CCleaner looks in a few extra places].

Install Malwarebyte's Antimalware, update then run a scan.

Install MSE, Avira or whatever AV of your choice and update then run scans.
