Friends ps3 update

My friend has a ps3 slim 250gb and he updated it and his password was wiped and now he cant log into his online account. he has tried to go to forget password which comes up with his D.O.B and email address but keeps saying its invalid. A few of my friends have had the same problem but managed to get back online by the same forgot password solution but its simply just not working for him.

any ideas or has any1 had this problem?

When my PSN was hacked I just rang their customer services number for the UK. They asked me some details about the account then just e-mailed me a new password. This or e-mailing them could work although I think that phoning them would be easier.

You can email them asking them to reset your password. Provided it's from the email used to sign in with.
