Nobody seems to have mentioned this in here so thought I would.
Fring updated their iPhone app a couple of days ago, bringing background VOIP t0 iOS4 and 2-way video chat over Fring and Skype to the iPhone 4.
It seems they weren't geared up for a few million iPhones to jump on their network, so it's been a bit flakey and they've had to stop new people adding Skype until it's settled down. But other than a UI that looks like my Granddad made it, it's not bad at all.
