All discussion is from episode 5 onwards so spoilers ahead for UK viewers!

Peter is a knob, everything he did in this episode was completely reckless! I wonder if September is Peter from the future, that would be cool. I just hope he doesn't become a lifeless zombie like the other observers.

Was this the first time we learn that the observers are just men with tech? It makes a lot more sense that they are just humans with advanced tech, it certainly helps to understand why they decided to take over the world, if they're just men then they'll still have greed. Although, why no women observers? Or are they actually not humans but they are different they just happen to have tech in their heads as well?

The observers are humans but from one of many possible futures, We already knew the observers were men with tech in them that lets them do the stuff they can do iirc.

My main question from the last episode was where did the posters come from with Etta on them i swear they weren't there before makes me wonder if the wormhole collapsing changed something.

Next episode looks rather fantastic.

Yes those posters really confused me too, for a moment I actually though Peter had run through the wormhole and changed something. I can't believe you watch those youtube things, so many spoilers in them, I like to be completely surprised by the episodes.

I noticed that was odd with the posters but watching it again it was just camera angles revealing them at the last moment ... I think the writers are trying to show that whatever the Fringe team are doing in the present is rippling through time so much like Looper, they still have a chance of ridding the observers.

I think the theory that in 1 iteration of the timeline they did blow up and collapse the wormhole but the observers in the present passed the information along with them into the future ... so when the time looped back onto the second iteration of the timeline the observers counteracted it hence no effect.

Yes it was pretty obvious that there are and infinite amount of futures. Also it was pretty silly of Walter to just assume it was okay to let the future collapse in on itself lol

Quite liked the most recent episode "Through the looking glass and what Walter found there". It'll be interesting what they do with Peter and how far his changes go.

I did think the posters were odd last week the way they suddenly appeared though it did become apparent on a re-watch that it was down to camera angles. The focus on them again this week makes me think it could be something more though.

Was expecting Peter to do a Neo 'come at me' gesture when fighting the observer!

It did go all matrix in that fight scene...was cool though.

Can see the "peter loses his humanity and goes all emotionless observer" story thread coming...

Interesting that simply blue is better than the full spectrum of colours.

I noticed quite early on that they seemed to gloss over peters tech, but I realised when he led them back so easily that it was obviously the tech helping and then the fight was pretty cool. In the train he had the same head movements as the observers too.

I'm concerned that his emotions or lack there of are going to turn an episode or two into eastenders-esque crap where they ponce about getting upset and feeling sorry for themselves. It would be nice if Peter became like an observer but without the emotional loss.

This pocket universe used the same symbols we see before and after the advert breaks, I wonder if they are part of a bigger picture or were just used for the sake of it.

Oh oh, also there was talk of pre-machine memories so they haven't forgotten about that. I think the season is going to wrap up the series very well if they do start talking about the lose ends. It's a very distant show compared to its x-files format in the early seasons though, I can understand why some people don't like that.

Not really enjoying this season tbh. Especially as it is all seemingly shaping up for a reset at the end, so nothing that happens really matters

No it's not, it's shaping up to a revolution of the freedom fighters actually defeating the observers and then it being all happy days.

I'm pretty annoyed that Peter is going to become an observer clone, emotionless, hairless, and annoying.

They could have left him as just normal peter but with all the powers of observers, that would have been awesome.

Right, **** it, I'm swinging my Judgement stick.

Matrix style fight sequence was pathetic, it's bad enough they've turned the observers into what is basically Agents vs Humanity, let alone to then have the crappy sequence of 'go, I'll hold them up. oh I'm getting my arse kicked, but I can do this, oh I'm adapting, I can keep up with him, here take this' blah. BULL****.

not remotely enjoying this to be honest, they've destroyed what Fringe was, Olivia is a pathetic excuse of her once self, she's no longer the strong leader, they've reset her so many times I don't even know if she has the abilities nevermind access to the abilities she had before, now all she does is spend the episode crying or looking like she's about to cry.

They've mashed up so many different version of reality, I haven't a ******* clue what stands and what doesn't, it's worse than DC's 52 reboot last year.

Big shame, the writers lost their way, and have gone for the easiest of easy stories, reproduced a thousand times.

Best part of this season was the relevance of Walter finding The Man Who Stole The World by David Bowie. Funnily enough the 2nd best part of this season was the sequence when Walter played Yazoo's - Only You, in the car and saw the flower blooming.

Must admit, it does feel like things have gone off the boil this season. Guess that's what happens when the writers have to wrap up a series that never really had a season spanning bad guy so they're clutching at random threads from previous seasons.

Walter is still the star of the show, just being Walter :D

I pretty much agree with you shipinabotlle.

desires- I am pretty sure there was a line in an early episode that was something like "I have a plan, it will be like they were never here".....or I might be misremembering it.

Walter has been the best part of the show from start to finish, I feel a bit bad for John Noble, he has been quite frankly stunning the entire series. Deserved awards for this, but being a sci-fi show, he was never going to have a chance.

The only reason I watch it any longer is because I know this is the end, so I may as well see how much they can **** it up.

As it sounds, it'll be another reset, oh bully... Another standout piece of creativity, said nobody, after the 3rd reset...

Was really hoping they could bring the alternate universe back into it somehow. Loved those characters and would have been cool to see Walter and Walternate joining forces to defeat the observers.
