Fringe

2nd series - isn't it third? Or did Sky show the first series in two parts?

I actually like it. The stories are a bit samey but its perfectly watchable IMO and hopefully the underlying story will be ramped up (More Leonard Nimmoy perhaps)

Did this actually get any better? Watched the fist half dozen or so episodes and got more and more frustrated with it. The script is possibly one of the worst I've seen/heard.

The main story arc is really interesting, and overall it is quite a good show, its a shame that BSG isnt around aswell as fringe anymore. Lost Fringe and BSG every week was good :)

2 of the writers for TSCC have moved over to Fringe. I keep meaning to check it out but its finding the time. I still have BSG to finish.

Haven't seen it since it was on, but wasn't there a gravestone of Peter? Does that mean he died as a kid and Walt re-created him or something strange like that? Could be anything in Fringe.

Can't remember but it wouldn't suprise me if Peter was from the other reality.

The story does clunk at times but its one of the better programs amongst the myriad of carp on these days.

It all makes perfect sense, yet nothing makes any sense :o lol

I assumed it meant that it was the Peter from the other reality, like Walter had done a deal with The Observer (the bald guy, like he must be there to watch over both realities to make sure no one goes jumping through randomly, as all hell would break loose, so he's like a guard for both realities), which is the reason why Walter had to help The Observer and stop David Robert Jones from crossing over into the other reality.

Indeed, Peter is definately from the other reality. Its why he has no memory of being ill as a child, because HE actually wasnt ever ill as a child, it was the other Peter who was and then died from the illness. Which made Walter so grief stricken that he designed the way to get to alternative realities so that he could get another Peter to replace his lost son.

I just watched the first episode and loved it.... sounds like it gets very dull. Oh well, I'll watch till I'm bored!

I REALLY enjoyed it at first, but as it went on I found myself getting more and more bored of it. Walter was a brilliant character, but as the show carried on I frankly became more and more annoyed with the characters of Olivia Dunham and her boss Broyles.

To be fair, I dont know if it was the characters or the actors portraying them. I have to admit that the actors playing Dunham and Broyles seemed downright awful to me. Especially the actress playing Dunham, whose entire repertoire seemed to consist of keeping her lips parted as much as possible, frowning whenever the opportunity presented itself and flouncing around when she walked with her hair whipping about like the kid from the Brady Bunch.
