It really isn't terrible, i'd suggest that you give it another chance as judging an entire series on the first few episodes is never a good idea. In fact in my opinion its currently the best thing on television.

Frankly I'd say if you don't like the first three episodes, you won't like the rest. I was hooked half way through the first. It's not like The Wire where it takes several episodes to start understanding and following the general plot, but hey I might be wrong.

As for it being the best thing on tele atm I would say it's second but only to Breaking Bad :)
 
Got hooked on this last year, then the wife got hooked into it, love the characters and the plots.

Glad it's back on Sky1HD though :)

I disagree actually, I think it changes quite significantly from a "one baddy a week syndrome" to more of a plot arch system.
 
^ agreed, once you get to the actual plot it's fantastic. I was hooked from the first episode.

And it looks awesome in HD, especially Anna Torv :o
 
It is a great show. It has plenty of filler/monster-of-the-week stuff, but there is a great underlying plot which really starts to shine in Season 03.
 
All fears of Fringe being cancelled due to low ratings and the Friday night move are now void.

Fringe has been renewed for a fourth season and a full 22 episode season at that! :D
 
I'm really enjoying fringe tbh, it's one of the better sci fi shows thats on tv at the moment (not that theres much competition).

It is very much like Lost, in that the plot takes ages to get going, but instead of character centric episodes, it's monster/case of the week. I'd really liken it to being the mutant offspring of the X Files and Lost.

The monster of the week plots can be very hit and miss, but the underlying plot and mystery is starting to come together, although i say that with a pinch of salt as this is a JJ Abrams show.

I think John Noble is fantastic to watch as Walter. After seeing him as Denathor in LOTR, Fringe really showcases how good of an actor he is.

Tbh, things don't really start to get going until the latter half of season one.
 
Glad to hear that its been picked up for season 4 :)
