Fringe

Great start, though I hope they do not just completely ignore what has happened in previous seasons.....Peter being erased etc better turn out to be important!

one thing with fringe is they really do reinvent themselves,

i do like it, but it frustrates me, loads of what happened in early seasons, sort of did not happen unless you are peter

Very true, I hate to say it

but I found it a complete disappointment.

I think the core of what Fringe was is going to be lost to another overthrow the rulers story

Just...meh.

I'm actually glad this is the final season. I've watched it since the beginning, but it's gone from being one of the first things I watch to the thing I watch if there's nothing better on.

good ep, i presume they will do a flash back to show what happened ? what happened to duncan from lost?

He joined the cast of Scandal.

IMO the reason Etta has the unreadable mind to the observers is because of that whole universe resonance malarky. As Peter is actually from the other universe he wobbles differently and therefore Etta wobbles in between both universes so the observers have no idea how to hack into her wobble. That's my opinion anyway. Also remember that Olive does actually have her old memories.

I'm really glad they kept with the future storyline (although knowing Fringe next week it will go back to the old one and flip flop lol) because I think Georgina Haig is super hot.

I am not sure. I hope that they can not read Etta's mind because Peter 'does not exist', as they say. I also still hold out hope that they can somehow bring everything roughly back to the way the first 3 seasons were. Remember- Walter also had memories of the original timeline, as he was seeing visions of Peter in early season 4. On the whole, I have to regard erasing Peter as a big mistake, without much point at all really.

I found this a good read - it points out a lot of things you might possibly have missed and is very interesting.....So much to keep track of in Fringe!

I just hope that however it all works out, that it has a strong base in previous seasons.

Who is this guy lol
Peter tells Olivia to breathe. I've seen the episode at least 8 times now and I have to tell myself that as well.
That's insane!

Also that link is more or less just a rundown of the episode lol.

Oh he certainly seems to take it seriously alright! There is some stuff in there from previous episodes that might suggest the way some things could work out.

Season is back on track now. Last episode was much better imo. Though something I was hoping would happen has now been completely debunked so I have no idea how they are going to wrap this up in the 9 episodes they have left!

WTF did they do that for at the end‽ I'm seriously annoyed now, might even not bother watching it any more.

I'm a massive Fringe fan, but I am really not feeling this final season.
From the whole chasing around after VHS tapes and the Walter brain reset (again) it feels as if they are stretching for ideas in this future setting. The Observers have gone from mysterious time explorers who watched events unfold to extreme dictators of the future with little explanation to this point, Fringe never used to be this black and white.

This feels like a standalone season where we are nearly at the halfway point of the final season and I fear we're heading for a Lost scenario where plenty of plot lines will never be explained or resolved.

I miss Walternate and Fauxlivia and I want answers on what happened to William Bell!!!! :(

I'm fairly happy that we'll get a decent resolution to the story. In my opinion many of the storylines were tied up at the end of Season 4 apart from the Observers which is what we are seeing now in Season 5. As far as i'm aware its going to be a 3 part finale, so 6 episodes left to get the story to that point.

Given that Walter is still wandering about with William Bells hand, its likely that it will be important to the storyline at some point and we will get some sort of resolution to the Bell storyline. There was some mention of something Bell had done to Dunham in Season 4 Episode 19 just before Walter cuts off Bells ambered hand. I'm not sure if what was mentioned relates to what happens to Dunham in the Season 4 finales, or something which hasn't yet been revealed

Well I was pinning all of my hopes on Walter and September's plan being to erase Peter, but it doesn't look like that will happen now.

I am however also fairly confident that things will be resolved in some way
