Fritz Chess Benchmark/Super PI Thread 2010

Yeah I was going to say OpenOffice would be good for creating tables like this.

I'd do it, but I haven't got a clue how to use those types of applications!

@kitfit, that's some great results you're getting there mate, what type of cooling you using?

Amended to have a position column (useful for when there are more than 3 results per class :p)

I think if we are to go ahead with this, I'd prefer it if we could have the title of this thread changed to "Fritz Chess Benchmark/SuperPi - Discussion", and have a separate thread for results only, would make it a lot easier to manage (especially now we have discussed garbage for the last page :p)

probably class it like it is ,
phenom quads,phenom tri's,phenom duals ,athlon II dual,athlon II quads,athlon x2 series,not sure whats before that?lol

So something like:
  • Phenom II Quad
  • Phenom II Tri
  • Phenom II Dual
  • Athlon II Quad
  • Athlon II Dual
  • Athlon X2
  • Athlon 64
  • Other AMD

And I'd change "Older Intel" to "Other Intel", just incase someone shows up with their Atom, Celeron, or Pentium-Dual Core (which are no older than the other CPU's groups in the list, but less commonplace) :p

i'm not any good at this kind of thing (as you can probably tell) but i knocked this up with all the stock results so far, feel free to use/delete/butcher it if it helps :)

is uriel's a stock result btw ? i have no idea what that processor is

lol and in the time it took me to do this paradigm has done something that looks totally profesional  :o

The mirror for Chess Benchmark seemed to be down so I grabbed it off some mirror, turned out to be japanese. Oh well, it's readable.
I just realized I only had regular superpi instead of superpi mod as well so I included an additional screenshot.

If the table is still accurate I think I just blew away the Q9550 chart. :P

Not quite, I'm going to add Phenom X4 originals too.

Nah, definitely keeping mobo and bus speed, especially bus speed, as it makes a huge impact to SuperPi.

Might even add vCore too.

Bus speed had virtually no effect on mine both multi and bus speed produced near identical result with these rigs it's all about HT link speed and voltage to tweak super pi also ram timings can shed a second off a 1 million pi run.
