Fritz Chess Benchmark/Super PI Thread 2010

Great work on the chart eddie.

I started one a while back using colours to represent number of cores/threads more easily.

Feel free to nick the idea if you think it will add to the chart. :)

Yeah looks good, nice and clear, I'll see what I can do for the next update.

Ok I have succumbed to the requests for a massive table, so here it is. Don't say I didn't warn you lol.

Tbh I find it much easier to compare with the graphs as you can roughly compare scores even at speeds with no specific result, but hey.

Oh and I don't want to see another damn core i7 posted up, I sick of them lol

Nice graph :) But you seem to have missed my result out :(

Not an i7, but an i5 which is the 965s direct competitor at 3.8ghz :p

I guess the results will be similar to an i7 with HT off :) Hope this helps.

First try at stable overclock, testing for 3.9-4.0 benching.
Core 2 Quad 8 x 475 = 3800mhz.
Asus Maximus II Formula
Crucial Ballistix 6400 4 x 1gb
Fritz 9517
SP1M 14.266

Pentium 3 - 1Ghz, considering how usable this PC is I'm surprised how slow the 1m time is compared to current high end PCs. Surfing the web and using Office you don't really notice the difference and it only has 1mb onboard graphics!

Yes it's a laptop, Yes it's pritty rubbish

Am going to be building a gaming PC next month so should be able to retire this old boy... lol

Motherboard = Precision M90 (well thats what all the tools report)

seems a bit slow for 3.8 gig ? my Q6600 gets that score at 3.5 ? I'm very jealous of your Vcore though !!!

i just built this for a friend so here is an athlon II x4 620 at stock speed for the chart as we don't seem to have one yet,

Super Pi - 33.119
Fritz - 6044
motherboard - gigabyte MA78LM-S2
cpu speed - 2600
fsb - 200
vcore - says 1.216 on cpu-z but while the benches were running it was 1.508

As I'm going to be swapping to a mobile I7 based machine soon, here are some quick OC results from this machine :D

Doing pretty respectably for a laptop I think! :)

Not sure yet which I7 I'll be getting, but will take a comparison shot when I have it.

The next one should be even better once I get to grips with it ;)
Im gonna aim to have all 4 cores running similar to the X9100s too, with the added bonus of higher IPC and HT, will really depend on my machine and the chip what it'll do...guess I'll have to find out :D
I'll be keeping my current RAM, because it seems to be a known factor, but then it a SPD profile for 760Mhz so I know it should be up to at least that, even if the timings get quite slack.

I think power will be the limiting factor though, the power supply with the I7 laptop will only be able to supply so much, overclocked mobile I7 and dual GPUs might be a bit too much for the PSU :D
