Anyone know if you mesh together 2 or 3 FritzBox routers, will they daisy chain together e.g. will one send the WiFi from one mesh to another mesh in weak areas or do each mesh only communicate directly to the master FritzBox router?

Yeah as above says it’s a true mesh.

I’ve got the router and two 3000 mesh extenders and it’s works well in all honesty.

Range on them isn’t super duper high, two cover upstairs nicely.

If I was being picky I’d had one downstairs + the router and the whole house would be covered.

(Baring in mind it’s quite a large house, and all 3 router positions are very suboptimal).

Thanks all,

I have a FritzBox 7530 master router plus 2 separate FritzBox 7530's set in mesh mode. Just I'm not sure if one mesh will connect to the other mesh in weak areas without having to buy the Fritz 300 repeaters.

I also have acquired a third FritzBox 7530 which I haven't utilised yet.

I don’t believe they will. They will operate as bridges from one router to another but not in a true mesh. You need the Fritzbox 3000 units for that. They are quite pricey though.

Today i discovered a way to chain them up - I have exactly the same set-up. You have to go into the router you want to add as the third chain and in the 2.5ghz and 5ghz connection settings for no.3 , deselect the tick boxes for the main router and choose the tick boxes for router no.2 in the chain (this should be the ones showing the stronger signals. That way it will set them up in a chain rather than being connected to the main. I have no idea if i've explained that properly but lemme know if it works!
