From 1mb/s to 20-40kb/s

Hey, installing a game on steam. Was doing nicely at 1.1mb/second, now its stuck on 20-40mbs...

Any obvious things to check which is making my download speed so slow??

Are you on the 10mb package with Virgin?

Probably just the traffic management coming into play. Test your speeds again now (anytime after 9pm) and see if its back to normal.
