Title says it all. Got a Q6600 at the moment (3.2Ghz), thinking of going to one of the new Intel's. Looking to spend around £200 in total on the cpu, ram and mobo. Something like this

Basically wondering, should I bother?

Main point of contention is I'd be downgrading the motherboard to something cheap (from a P5K Premium). I'd be interested in overclocking. Anyone got any quick advice? Cheers!!!

personally id save and wait until you can upgrade and get an unlocked processor and better board to support it. if you depserately wanted to buy now i'd recommend second hand cpu and ram so you cant spend more on the mobo.

you won't be able to overclock any of the sandybridges that arn't the K model, so you'd need a 2500K/2600K etc.

could go for a cheaper mobo, but if you could save for the z68 you'd be able to use all of the features of the K series processors, otherwise a P67 mobo would allow you to overclock.
