Does the spec ive pushed together make A) sense and b) is is good bang for the bucks?

Any feedback or alternatives appreciated, i must admit the mobo is a complete shot in the dark as is the q9550 over say a q6600?

cheers

I myself moved from an athlon x2 3800+,2gb ram DDR, x1950 pro 512mb to a Q6600 (sunbeam cooler), 4gb DDR2, P5Q Pro and 4870 1GB.

Massive difference in games and overall usage. The Q9550 is newer and runs cooler and slightly faster clock for clock, but on the whole, but an overclocked Q6600 is still going to be nigh on as fast as anything out there at the moment. For me, i couldnt justify the extra cost when i could get other parts to make it a better system.

:)

if you gonna spend 200£+ on a cpu y not buy an i7??????
