"From an X perspective" - is this the new "literally"?

Either I'm cracking up, or this phrase has become incredibly widespread in a very short space of time. All of a sudden everyone from colleagues at work to randoms on YouTube to my other half are delivering points and counterpoints prefixing their sentence with "From such and such a perspective..."

I've found myself saying it a couple of times, and have had to reel myself back in.

Anyone else noticed this, or is it just from my perspective?

Or from another perspective, should I just eat pancakes and forget about it? Like, literally.
