From atx to matx?

Hi
Recently finished my iron man build (see my ATX build)
Now i have very limited space in my house, in fact i am sat at the kitchen table
And the aerocool case is big... no problems with it, its just big - i would recommend it for a build
So i am thinking of going to MATX as it is easier to get the motherboard for the z77 - 3570k i5 cpu

But cant decide on a case, i did have a prodigy but wanted something bigger so went to atx but that is too big

I do like the look of the phenom or prodigy atx case but i would like a window to show off leds etc but there is no window for those matx case because the window is on where the power buttons would be

I do like the aerocool dead silence case, but the window is the graphic card side and worried about heat..

Hmmmmmm dont know what to do..... Help?
 
Get a Parvum, obviously ;) Big window. You could even ask the guys to do you some kind of Iron Man style custom design if you wanted.
 
I did have m-itx.. Sold the motherboard
For z77 the prices are ridiculous, more than what i paid for my asrock z77 extreme atx motherboard
Thats why i am thinking of matx

I would be buying a new psu as well, this evga supernova is so noisy it p***** (self edited lol) me off

The parvums look nice, but price tag is scary for me, considering i have to buy a psu as well

With a single graphics card installed in the top PCI-E slot you still have a lot of clearance between the GPU and the case.
Use the front fan to blow air into the case and put two extra fans in the top to take hot air out if you are that concerned.

I have a reference AMD R9 290 so use the two extra top fans as intakes because of the blower cooler on the card.
 
still undecided on the prodigy, phenom or the dead silence...

if bitfenix made the side panel with the window and also the on button and usbs on it, this would be a no brainer.... but i do like my aerocool case so might go with that.
 
I'll get some pics up tomorrow if your interested in the aerocool. Either way all of those cases you mentioned are good, just boils down to what you want. Will you be overclocking that i5?

It seems fine at the moment, maybe in the future if my pc starts struggling doing what i want it to.
Most builds i have seen with the aerocool the cabling looks messy...
Was looking at the silverstone fortress ft03 earlier, seems a nice looking case.
Wish the 350d was smaller or they made a tiny corsair 540 lol
 
Yeah I will say the dead silence isn't the best for cable management, especially if you have a non modular PSU. You can manage it enough for airflow but it won't look pretty unless you're willing to put some serious time in and OK with modding cables.

The FT03 definitely looks interesting.
 
Ordered the silverstone fortress ft03 :)
Got an issue with it though (contacted ocuk) there is an angled fan holder supposed to be in the bottom of the case but mine appears to be missing :(
Also ordered the superflower golden green.. Which was a huge mistake!
The cables are mega long on it, will need to do some serious cable management in this ****** to get the panel on
 
good luck. I wanted to built a itx computer, completely passive colling using one of these streacom f8 cases (might have spelt it wrong). But needed to spend money elsewhere.
