As topic my norton 2005 ran out yesterday and after looking at nortons new abomination i decided to go for the highly reccomended nod32.
But now i cannot choose smileys any more and im missing buttons on certain websites as well as the login button on hsbc online banking, ive updated to latest sun java because i thought might of been that but is still the same :(
Anyone any clues? might not even be nod32 so im lost at the moment as to whats happened any help appreciated

Forgot to mention i did use the symnrt.exe removal tool after taking norton off and before i installed nod32.
thanks for the reply though :)

Dang! :(

Any chance of screenies to illustrate your problems? Is it MSN you can't choose screenies in?

Have you got NOD32 to run a virus scan yet?

Ok after uninstalling ie7 and reinstalling it still the same and now windows media player has gone nuts  so dunno what the hell has gone on :(
Everything works great on firefox can click smileys when posting now where as ie7 just does zip i now have a login button on hsbc again where as ie7 shows nothing the same for a java based chat util on another site ie7 zip firefox fine.
Carnt even install flash player on adobes site or windows update on ie7 even checked my ie7 security settings against my vista ie7 install and all checks out the same
Have run full system scan its all clean so im just blaming norton and i can use firefox and winamp until i can be bothered to reinstall windows still a tad annoying and wasted numerous hours chasing my own tail trying to work out wtf was wrong.
All fun.....................
