In 2007 I got made redundant from a cooker factory I worked at for 27 years and very luckily landed a job at the NHS working with kids.
Earlier this year my 2 year contract ran out and now I'm working for Clinical Governance dealing with Clinical Negligence claims.
Today I was rang by my old manager who asked to meet me at dinnertime over a cup of tea and he had me speechless.
Earlier this year I completed a film for Infection Control which I put a lot of effort into and I actually burned the DVD on the last hour my contract ran out.

I have been nominated for a Nursing Times Award in Infection Control and on Nov 3rd I attend the Hilton in London in full tuxedo accompanied by the Chief Executive and the four head Nurses of the Trust.

What have I done that is so special?
I've made a tuition DVD that will be shown to every Nursing staff in Britain that lays down the correct procedure for Aseptic Technique and it could go global.

I need validating quickly before my head blows up.

That is fantastic. It is amazing to see you change your life around and do something that not only helps children but also something you seem to enjoy, put a lot of time into and finally it has paid off. :)

Congratulations on your achievment! I'm sure it's a good feeling for you to know people nationally, and world wide will be using your work! :)

Hopefully in a few months I'll be in a similar situation if I manage to publish my research papers. :)

Absolutely excellent news mate! Really well played.

Hey, I wanna be a doctor, I might end up learning from your video. Seeing as it's won an award, I'll pick it up easy.

once again, fantastic news, I'm really happy for you :)

Hope I'm not over stepping any boundaries here but would it be possible to see the video somehow? (silly question aswell probably :p)

Much credit to you!
