From Onboard to Audigy 2 eX

im buying one of these off MM and should be with me by friday. should i see some improvement in the sound quality? i have some cheapo 2.1's and a 5.1 Digital Amp, with some okayish speakers.

I have gone from onboard to a first gen Audigy and i can really tell the difference even keeping my crappy speakers so you should have the same experience mate.

Went from the on board on my DFI UT250 to an Audigy 2 ZS and there was a definate improvement.

That's with some Cambridge Soundworks speakers that are ancient!

they were good speakers those cambridge soundworks... i had some nice little white ones they were ace.

If they're the same as Cambridge Audio... my Dad's still got one of their amps hooked up, must be 20 years old and sounds amazing.
