From Other Suns, the multiplayer shooter from Gunfire Games, is getting a free beta weekend on the Oculus Store coming up at the end of the month.
Oculus quietly announced the news, releasing word of the open beta with no other general release dates. The game’s open beta weekend will start September 29th and go until October 1st, coming exclusively to Rift.

Looks really good, made by the same devs that made Dead and Buried too!

Same as above, only played single player, havnt done too much but I've enjoyed what I have done, apparently the beta only lets you jump 10 times before it ends, only done 2 myself so I can't confirm that.
I've had some bugs that I'll put down to it being in beta, walls vanishing, tracking being off and having difficulty pressing buttons when all my other games are fine, and graphical glitches and 'loss of focus' during the tutorial.
Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to really give it a good try online.

Feel free to add me on Oculus Home,

Gave it a decent go late last night, and honestly I'm disappointed, combat isn't very fun, brain dead AI, the gun play feels like a step back from there previous game Dead and Buried, and isn't satisfying in the slightest, using guns in VR usually feels great, this does not. I really feel this game should have been a lot better, if they added optional watch dogs style online PvP, tightened up the gun play and added more customisation to ships and weapons, also more things to do in the ship with your friends, pool table, arcade machine, cards etc (like a scaled down rec room of sorts) the repair mechanic in the game is also boring, you aim a 'repair gun' to fix there's so many other ways they could have gone about repairing in VR, let us interact with the ship and use tools.

The premise of the game is great, but it feels like a missed opportunity to be a classic VR system seller.

Not impressed at all
