My Mazda 3 gives a deep thudding sound over small, high frequency bumps on the offside.
I replaced the droplinks myself a while ago and it didn't make any difference to the noise, but it did tighten things up a bit - the original droplinks were well worn.
I've had it in the garage and the only thing they could find is a perished lower control arm bush on the nearside. I had the control arms replaced and that's not made any difference to the noise.
I've had the car jacked up and whilst there's no vertical movement in the anti roll bar, if I push/pull it horizontally (towards and away from me) there is a few millimetres movement in the bar.
I can't decide if this is normal or not. How tight should the ARB be held by the bushes?
