Greetings,
I'm trying to connect the Asus Xonar front panel HD audio header to the case front panel. I destroyed the original audio cable ages ago. It's not a standard layout because that would be too easy
.
There are 9! pin combinations but only 4 pins seem to have traces going into the line-out. As is there's either no sound at all or the right channel goes through the left.
Case front audio layout: Asus Xonar HD audio layout:
X X 0 X X ____________ X X X 0 X
X X X X X ____________ X X X X X
According to the AC97 / HD audio diagrams, the right channel is located in the middle pins which has totally stumped me as the traces on the case header say otherwise.
Any clues?
