Front Audio wiring, essential?

When attempting to wire my front audio (mic in, mic bias, spkout L,R - all that crap) ive came across the problem that the wires wont stretch from their connection in the case across the the front audio pins on the mobo.

How essential are they? Can I do without that, and what would I be missing out on?

I mainly wear headphones anyway if that matters?

all depends on whether you use the front audio jacks or not...

if you then yes you will miss out completely if you never use them then no loss at all...
