Hey,

Hope you're all okay, been a while since I posted on here :-)

I dismantled an old PC recently and to my surprise it had single 'blocks' for each of the front case wiring features (front audio, front USB, firewire etc). In the past I've only had PC's where each 'feature' consists of e.g. 8 wires which are flying around in madness getting tangled up, so fiddly - the block things are such a stress reducer! I can't see why all PC's don't use them.

I have salvaged these ones as I was aware you could lift the flap and remove each cable from it's fitting.

My question - would anybody know where I can buy more of these blocks?

Here's an image to help show what I'm looking for...

*******s, RS, any electrical component shop should be able to get the pins/sockets from there aswell. can make em off with some needle nose pliers but better off with the proper crimp tool which can be pricey, i just nick all my stuff from work :)

didnt know ****** was a competitor sorry!!

i could do with one of these also just put my old hardware in to a very old and small e-machines case :D and the front panel pin header matches the original motherboard which is one single line of pins
at the moment i take the side off and short the pins with a screwdriver to turn it on lol

The pin header and connector system is called a "PCB Interconnect" the metal pins on the wires are called "crimp terminals" this might assist your searching.
