Front Fog Lights

Yea, what is going on with the complete lack of indication around roundabouts at the moment. It's doing my nut in when people just cruise around then disappear off without any indication of where they're going, or intending to go.

Absolute PITA!

I blind them back. Doesn't work though. Might have to try holding the horn as well

Might have to get some main beam HIDs (only dipped at the mo') so I can flood the road ahead in my own light and effectively "override" the light their fogs are blinding me with. It's all about exposure/contrast etc and how the eye reacts isn't it...

(I drive a very low car so yes I do get genuinely blinded by most fog lights at night... there's been several occasions where I've actually been out of control of my car for 3 to 5 seconds... not a good thing at 60mph at night on a b-road)

There is nothing more irritating than pulling up to a roundabout, stopping to see what the person approaching to your right is going to do and then see them do a left without indicating.

Come over to Ireland, you'd love it. The majority of drivers here have their fog lights on all the time. That's not an exaggeration either, it really is the majority.

I just whack my full beams on.. my grill lights normally annoy then enough.

I did it the other week to some chavette in a Saxo, got the middle finger. Classy.

Buy some better quality glasses, mine are fantastic at night no issues at all, i've had some poorer ones and they can make driving at night a pain!

Ah, the annual 'Fog lights blinded me and raped my sister!!!!!111' thread is back.

Front fogs lights do not dazzle. Things that do dazzle include:

- Badly aligned headlamps.
- Full beam headlamps.
- HID (including factory fitted) headlamps in certain circumstances.
- Badly aligned front fog lamps.
- Rear fog lamps when it's not foggy.

Just because Ned bought some ebay specials fogs and fitted them to Saxo with chewing gum and gaffer tape, blinding you afterwards, does not mean that all front fog lights dazzle. If all fog lights do dazzle you I suggest that you visit an optician - maybe you shouldn't be driving at night?

I always make a point of flashing them when I see it.

Not you personally, no. But they dazzle others, quite clearly. Perhaps people with lower cars than you?

In my S2000 this never affects me, nor has it affected me when i've driven other low cars (VX220 as another good example)

People who claim this dazzles them must have some serious issues.

It doesn't dazzle me but it fills me with rage every time I see it. I've no idea why, perhaps becuase it's an indication that the driver has no working braincells and people like this being on the roads annoy me.

Great so because you don't have any sight problems then suddenly everyone else has serious issues?

I saw someone on my commute coming home the other day where their fog lights were actually about 50% brighter than their dipped beams. Terrific. Nothing like having a **** load of omni directional light hitting my rain soaked windscreen in the dark.
