I've got the onboard Realtek HD audio enabled from mobo and it sounds great from rear socket, probably better than my SB live card. I tried plugging headphones into the headphone socket on top of the case but no sound at all and I've checked all the settings in Realtek HD audio manager. Any idea?

Im not gonna help at all here, but how are you finding that case? Im waiting for mine to arrive :D

Absolutely first class, I love it. :D My temperatures in the case are pretty good, cpu fluctuates between 36C and 40C on idle, with overall system at 33C most of the time, and that's with front, rear and side fan that came already installed. I love the colour, the blue led front fan that glows through the front grill, and the tool free compartments inside are excellent. Just be gentle when pushing in the black front grill slots for optical drives. The plastic tabs do break quite easily, I broke one, and a review also said the same thing. But once you've inserted a drive you won't need it anyway. Also, I cancelled buying the case from OC and got a refund because they said there were none on order, so I bought it elsewhere.

I won one elsewhere so thats not a problem :P

How bright is that front LED? Cos thats the one thing Im worried about, cos I dont really want it to be lighting up my room lol

Assuming that the case only has an AC97 connector then you'll have to turn off jack detection in the Realtek control panel before the front outputs will work (the folder icon next to the analog output diagram brings up the desired menu).

Thanks, didn't see that folder before. Well my case has 2 header plugs for both HD audio and AC97. I've got HD audio plugged in and HD audio works well from back sockets. I disabled jack detection, but still no go. When disabled, if I hold mouse over the headphone icon on front panel on analog screen in audio manager, it says ' Headphone Realtek HD (Audio 2nd Output)' and if I hold mouse over back panel it says 'Headphone Realtek HD (Audio Output)'. So jack detection enabled or disabled doesn't seem to produce sound. Also, with jack detection enabled, it still doesn't make the audio manager pop up if i plug headphones into front panel as it does if I plug into back socket. So maybe it's faulty or something else isn't connected? Also, 'Mute rear panel output when front headphone plugged in' has a tick but it's all greyed out. Maybe that being greyed out is not muting rear socket and causing front not to work?

How did you win one? Well done though!

It gives a small glow but nothing major I don't think, quite subdued.

These pics obviousy couldn't be taken with flash or you wouldn't see the led, so they're not that sharp but you'll get an idea of it. Oh yeah, my white optical drive and floppy need to be changed to black, it kinda 'uglifies' the case otherwise :p

This 3rd pic is kind of what I see from sitting above it.

Hi, try opening Audio Manager and click on the yellow folder icon top right, contrary to what it states in the window that opens, tick 'Disable front panel jack detection' it worked for me.
