Hi guys,
I'm trying to hook up the front panel audio on my case to the motherboard...
The case I have is an aplus trooper made by macstek and the motherboard is a gigabyte ds3
I have connected the connectors and pins up as follows (I'm not sure if the front panel is HD or AC'97, so I've given the HD names wih AC'97 in brackets):
CASE-------MOBO
Mic In------MIC2_L (Mic)
GND--------GND (GND)
Mic VCC----Mic2_R (Mic Pwr)
Ear R-------Line2_R (Line Out(R))
Ear L-------Line2_L (Line Out(L))
Line R------Fsense1 (NC)
Line L------Fsense2 (NC)

The mic works fine atm, however, when the headphones are plugged in the front, the speakers which are plugged in the bak stay o rather than turning off as i'd expect...
Cheers for any light you can shed on why this might be,

I had a mobo once that if you connected the front panel the back didnt work at all. I suggest looking in the manual to see if it says what should happen, this is normally found around the pin disgram for audio headers.

Might just be a design floor

I had this problem with my MOBO as well it turns out that i had to install the sound application that came with the mobo.

Realtek AC 97 i could then choose to have the speaker sound off or on in the options for it.
