This might seem like a daft question, but does it matter which way UP you put your front panel connectors on their respective motherboard pins?

Obviously, you need to put the right ones on the right pins, but does it matter if - for example - HDD LED is facing up or down? It fits either way.

Light Emitting DIODES <-- so no current will flow if they're the wrong way round.

Sometimes it's hard to tell which way to put them. So just try and see if it works tbh, If they don't light up then put them on the other way. It's what i do :D

Look closely at each connector, there is usually a small triangle symbol to indicate positive if I'm not mistaken.

It only matters on LED's, switches (power switch / reset switch) do not matter, as they are switches.

Put the Power LED conenctors on the wrong way around, and they just don't work, period.

Still better to put them all on the correct way though, just incase ;)

he's not asking if he puts the pins on + or - :D

no it does not matter if the text on the pin is facing up or down, its only so you know which connector is which.
