Hi,
I have a sound blaster audigy 4 and want to add a front pannel audio for my headphones as im sick of reaching round the back. My MSI K8N Neo 4 motherboard has a front pannel connector on it but will i have to install the AC 97 drivers for it to work?

I am also unsure whether having the creative and ac97 drivers installed at the same time will cause conflicts, as the onboard sound is currently disabled.

Just thought id seek advise before buying and finding it didnt work.

Thanks

As far as I know, you generally can't have both drivers installed at the same time because the creative ones don't like it. However somebody posted a link to some "creative-alternative" drivers which allowed you to have more than one setup on the same computer. I hope that helps. I can't really google and find them, but you're more than welcome to add me to msn if you want. :)

just grab yourself a 3.5mm extension cable and plug that into your sound card round the back. and you can easily change from heaphones/speakers from your desk. :)
