Front passenger airbag on 06 ford mondeo

Wife is getting a new company car - Ford Mondeo was just about the only choice.

Does anybody know if you can deactivate the front passenger airbad for a rear facing childseat on these (using ignition key in glovebox sort of thing) ?

Simple question - hoping for a simple answer !

On my 05 you certainly cant, i know they were facelifted again recently but i dont know if that added the fucntion you are looking for....

You can't I'm afraid. They have an occupant sensor instead.
