I bought a pc from Overclockers last may and although I informed them at the time, I couldnt return the machine as I was about to leave for
Ireland.
As I explained to OC's, the cable from the board to the front port bracket appears to be OK. I have tried it in the 3 different sockets on the board but nothing gained. All the correct drivers are installed from the manufacturers CD (installed by OC's) and there are no yellow flags in device manager.
Bios, Intergrated peripherals is set up as for default.
The rear USB ports work OK
If anyone could help me with this it would be appreciated.

its most likely the plug that feed the front usb, I had this a few years ago on an antec sonata case. I even got a replacement cable & usb/firewire portion from antec, I eventually done a bit of DIY and removed a brown wire from te connector and it worked.

This may not work fro U but U never know as I very much doubt its teh board but teh case ports at fault.

Thanks for the reply, The cable end to the front of the cabinet is hard wired. There is no plug at that end only a plug at the board end.
There are two cables to the front. One is the audio and one the usb and all the wires are connected in a line to a PCB which feeds the two usb ports and the two audio sockets. I wouldnt know what to do with these wires?

USB front panel headers disabled in BIOS?

Hi, That I dont know. I have checked the manual and I have been into Bios: intergrated peripherals. USB controllers is enabled and all Bios settings at set at default. I cannot see where there is a specific option to enable or disable the front panel headers.
Could you advise me please?
