Appreciate any help please as I am just building my first pc. I have a gigabyte mobo and a saphire case (cheapo from Stak). The problem is on the mobo there is 10 pins for front usb the manual says they are:-
1 Power
2 Power
3 USB DX-
4 USB DY-
5 USB DX+
6 USB DY+
7 GND
8 GND
9 No pIn
10 NC

now my case plug is 3 pins and a seperate ground, the 3 pins are marked up
VCC1
USB1-
USB1+

What am I suposed to do please. I would like the front usb's to work as my kids would put their memory sticks there

Cheers

VCC1 > Power1
USB1- > USB DX-
USB1+ > USB DX+
GND > GND

Or

VCC1 > Power2
USB1- > USB DY-
USB1+ > USB DY+
GND > GND

You front usb connectors should look like one of these click and it connects to a header which looks like this with a missing pin so you know you cant go wrong. Does yours have this?

Ok I follow thw drift by only using 4 pins on the 10 pin block. I will try that and let you know. Thanks guys. knowing me I will be back for more advice.

Kizz my case plug was for 3 pins and a seperate ground. Thanks though, I couldnt see it on your page.

Donno, sounds to me like your case has USB 1.1. Is this compatible with a USB 2.0 header (like the one on mobo)?
