Frontlines: Fuel of War - no worky

Recently bought Frontlines when i built my mATX gaming rig, and it installs fine, loads fine, when i go to start the 1st mission it loads, then the loading spinning thing just seems to stop. Waited a few mins after, and nothing, ctrl+del out, and it says not responding intask manager.

so i installed latest patch and tried again, still no good...

amny suggestions to get it working?

Vista 64
Realtek HD sound

any advice appreciated. Pretty ****** off that i paid good money for a game and cant play it at all :/
 
right, think i may have overcome the initial problem:

seems i may not have been waiting long enough for the initial load screen. if i persist and wait it out iot works...eventually.

Next issue:

Game plays for about 40secs, then pauses for about 3 secs, and repeat. Suggestions on this one?

(going off this game already lol!)

My initial thought is RAM - is 2GB enough? (going to swap a spare 2GB out from my other PC to see if it helps...
 
i know foliage causes a problem for nvidia cards allthough i believe the latest drivers have sorted that,could try turning foliage off though.try and stick with it though cos its great fun:Dand the next update promises to be a gooden:)
 
yeah found the same info about foliage, turned it right fdown, and now its a-ok - very fun game indeed!
 
Have things been fixed in patches? I have no idea what those problems were, I just heard it had some. Quite interested in this one. Anyone care to compare to it say, Battlefield?
 
yeah I got that game, got far in it, but it just didnt save the progress for me. I tryed the fixes on the forums, but none if them seeemed to work. So i thought ahhh stuff it!

I had it awhile ago and it literally felt like a console BF title :/ Everything seemed a bit "fattter" and shooting people didnt really feel skillfull. It also seemed very simple online, not the kind of depth you got in BF2/2142. Bit disapointed with it tbh :( Single player was a bit of fun though.
