Full on remake of the first game in Unreal engine coming in 2027 with mod support and all sorts of extra stuff thrown in, that is likely to be a day one purchase for me after the disappointment of Frostpunk2.

Anybody else looking forward to going back to the frozen wastes? :D
 
That sounds really interesting, looking forward to it.

I bounced off Frostpunk 2 immediately, because I think I was expecting it to feel more like the first game, so need to give it a few more months and then try it again fresh.

But I'm definitely up for "more of the first".

That is exactly what happened to me, I've tried a few times to get into it but it's just not the game I wanted lol.
 
I played it the other day and didn't think it looked dated at all. Got the boardgame too but never played it.
 
It doesn't look dated at all to me, I still love the way it looks and still play it occasionally trying to get my final achievement, I suspect the main reason they are doing it is due to the amount of people who simply wanted more of the first and mod support which they apparently said would require a full rewrite.
