Hi folks, I've had my Elysium case for almost 3 years now. It's served me very well. It's extremely well priced and offers huge space, but there are a few aspects of the case that are poorly designed.

So, what's the next best thing? Besides the likes of Caselabs, only one solution: 900D :) I think it's high time to put the 780Tis under water.

Current spec rundown is

Xigmatec Elysium

ASUS X79 Deluxe

4960X @ 4.5Ghz 1.29v

EVGA SC 780Ti 3GB Tri SLi

32GB 1866Mhz (OC to 2133Mhz 1.65V)

Enermax Revo 1500W PSU

420MM Coolgate Radiator

D5 XSPC Dualbay Res.

____

Changes:

Corsair 900D

Superflower 1200W PSU

2X 480mm XSPC radiators

3x EK 780Ti water blocks

XSPC twin D5 dual bay res

Not much to add at the moment, but will add some photos later in the week as have a fair few parts coming to get started :)

Cheers Neil. I've done several builds before this just never really bothered with the GPUs as I get through them like hot cross buns, but GK110s in Tri SLi is definitely not discrete in the noise department lol.

Though you was going for the caselabs? I asked rj about bringing one over for me but the cost was quite a fair bit. Nice spec expect plenty of pics : )

The 900d will eat up those rads and make you wonder what to do with the spare space left :). Have fun my 900d full water build was a pleasure to undertake

Caselabs now offer reduced shipping - Taken from the homepage:

Now customers can enjoy all the benefits of a custom ordered case (that would never be available in conventional retail channels) without paying the high shipping costs normally associated with them. For example: a fully loaded STH10 can be shipped to most of Europe for under $60.00 (flat-packed).

I cant believe that there are no UK / European suppliers for Caselabs - I am considering a M8 Magnum.

I've just spent circa £1,800 + in chassis and watercooling. Doesn't come cheap this loop business :)

I was, but I couldn't get hold of them today regarding shipping, and in all honesty this close to Christmas I'm being impatient. The 900D should cover all my bases. The only reason I'm opting out of using the Elysium again for a full loop is it's starting to wear a bit, and the quality and functionality of parts of it are showing their age. Amazing case though for £150.

Personally, I would have gone with the Phantek's Enthoo Primo over the 900D for water cooling. I've used both and can say the Phantek is the superior case and £100 cheaper. You should definitely consider it if you can change your order.

You can get a 480 in the top and bottom, just like the 900D, only difference is the 900D has the rad on it's side whereas the Phantek has it flat. There is possibly less ventilation around the fans in the Phantek's in this configuration if you have it on a carpet.

Thanks for the suggestion but think I'll pass! 900D fits the bill .

I had my Elysium for year. hated it.. It's a budget case for the size which is great but it shows in the quality. The side door, power switch etc .. just awful. I replaced it with the Swich 810 in the end. I love it but the 900D is a decent case from what i've seen :)

Look forward to seeing what you do.

Depends what you're using it for. Not really worth having at enthusiast level unless you have more than one GPU. It's built extremely well IMO in most aspects, but the design is showing it's age.

It all adds up.

900D didn't ship today from OCUk though which is a bit disappointing.
