Frozen Solid

Funnily enough mattpc has had this done to his French Horn iirc, it's done in the states and is supposed to help sort out any problems with the metal. Matt could tell you more but definately done on precision instruments so why not on car parts?!
 
Yeah, it's supposed to remove stress risers IIRC, just like shot-peening. I'd be suspicious of the brake disc claim tbh, that seems a bit unlikely, and obviously claims for power incrase could be put down to the fact that you have to do a lot of rebuild work to get to the crank and rods etc anyway... But it's widely regarded as not snake oil, I believe.
