Went past their pits saw the photo he's holding, said to him "that looks expensive!", he laughed. Turns out he's the pilot of it!, me and another guy had a good chat with him, he said they could feel the pressure from the pits of the engine blowing, so you can only imagine what it was like for him !
He said it happened about 60 m into the run, doing about 130~ish MPH, he went onto informing us the acceleration of those things is the equivalent of tiger woods T'ing off
, and the stop isn't much easier either! controling 8000HP must be a tad tricky 
Had a fantastic talk with the guy, asked if he'd hold the photo up so we could take a picy, said he was a very brave man! And shook his hand.
