I recently purchased a new ASUS monitor and ever since I'm getting BSOD due to a "video scheduler internal error". It ONLY happens when not playing games. Just browsing the web or pottering about in Windows will cause it to randomly happen. Sometimes it can happen 2-3 times in quick succession, sometimes it will go for a few days and not happen at all. Games are 100% stable. It seems to be purely random. Things I've tried:
- Various video drivers, removing everything with DDU in safe mode each time
- All Windows updates installed
- SFC /scannow (found some issues first time, nothing since)
- Increasing voltage on the GPU a tiny bit
- Underclocking the GPU a tiny bit (I don't overclock at all)
- Updated BIOS and chipset drivers
- Driver for monitor so it's recognized properly (not just plug & play)
- Reseating video card, RAM
- Foul language
So the only thing that has changed is the monitor. My previous monitor was HDMI and this one is DP. This one also runs at 120Hz and the old one was 60Hz. However.....games are totally fine
Any further things I should try before re-installing everything?
Thanks!
