FS-X launch date

Ohh, awsome. :)

Although im sure you require a DX10 graphics card for this. (as in cant run without i.e. DX9 last gen cards)

I think it will run fine on a DX9 card. It says this on the site, it wants to make it available to a wide range of fans so I can't see it requiring DX10 to run.

Q: Will “Flight Simulator X” require Windows Vista?
A: No. While “Flight Simulator X” will not require Windows Vista, it will be optimized for the latest in Windows gaming hardware and fans will get the best experience by running on Windows Vista.

Q: What type of computer hardware will I need to run “Flight Simulator X”?
A: While we are still determining exact hardware requirements, we do know that it will run on a wide range of configurations because we want to make “Flight Simulator X” accessible to a wide range of fans.

The screens at the bottom of the site look amazing, can't wait. :)

It will work on DX9 gfx cards, if those screenshots arn't rendered thats what we will get in DX9 mode.

FS-X will be the continuation from FX-9, enhancements and additions like new planes, animals, updated terrain, new graphics etc.

Its going to be awsome.

I've just been emailed to say flyawaysimulation.com will have stock of the FS-X DVD on the 27th October 2006.

I can't wait :D

Definetly getting it myself, but not from that pirate site. Just how they get away with charging people to download freeware add-ons is beyond me. I know loads of FS designers who've repeatedly emailed that site to ask for their work to be taken down from the site. Only to be told tough **** by the site's owner.

I don't actually know why Im registered there actually! Av-sim libary is sooo much better.

@ Charlie, go troll somewhere else. FS9 has been fine for me and every program will have errors. So get over it.

If its anything like the other M$ Flight simulators your gunna need a MONSTER system to run it @ full whack !

Current GPUs are more than enough (except for full 3D clouds - although my X1900XT @ XT-X does 20FPS+ @ 6xAA and 16xAF.)

CPU wise, I was limited STILL with a 2.9ghz San Diego, hopefully a 4Mb Conroe in September with a nicely clocked X1900 will kick ass!

CR.
