Guys,

I have got something in my head and I cant seem to work it out.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R which has a rated FSB of 1333MHz.
My CPU is a Q6600 GO with a FSB of 1066MHz

When I overclock the system using multi 8 x 400MHz I get 3.2GHz which is fine. I have my DDR2 6400 C4 ram at 1:1, 4-4-4-12, sweet.

Why does CPU-Z show my CPU rated FSB at 1600MHz can someone explain it to me please.

Intel 'quad-pump' their FSB's, so 400 x 4 = 1600mhz.

Or at stock your Q6600 is 266 x 4 = 1066mhz.
