which will be faster for me? i do dvd encoding, photoshop and the norm.

higher fsb loose timings or tight timings and 200fsb

im on 2-2-2-2-7 1T at 200mhz now and i thought that the 236 2-3-3-3-7 1T seemed quicker, getting into windows and stuff

Thats not what I'd call "loose" timings though...Loose to me is 2.5-4-4 or worse.

well how high do you think i can go with the fsb on these if i have 2.5 4 4 4 8? Ocz Gold Extreme voltage

well with my overclock at 260 or 289with a 9 multi i cant get to 250. should i try 260 1:1 with some loose timings?

Ok, try 2-3-3 at 260...is the vdimm boost enabled? If you have it on, you can squeeze 3.3v due to the fact the DFI overvolts the ram by 0.5v anyway...

i dont know.

erm.. it works at what im on now and it does 236 at 2-3-3-3-7 but i cant be bothered to test any more tonight

Depends on how tight the timings are really and what you can acheive with your own setup. There is no hard and fast answer to this, it varies depending on how much you have to relax your timings in order to increase your FSB. For example I found that a ~22mhz increase in FSB more than made up for slightly looser timings, but YMMV.

My rams better on 2.5/4/3/2/6 @ 290 rather than 2/2/2/2/5 @ 200 on SuperPi, 3dmark, games.
Dont use my pc for video editing etc so cant comment on that.

If you have problems getting the memory to run on a divider set the Max Async Latency to 9 and Read Preamble Time to 8

Those setting helped my memory to run a divider when before it would give me boot problems
