Hey guys, i guess this is the correct place to post this as it's about gaming and not a specific part of the PC.

I am heavily into flight sims and really want to boost my experience.

After having a friend hunt me down some components that he thinks will let me run games like FSX and Arma 2 at very high graphics this is what we came up with.

ASUS P5N-D Motherboard
Intel Cor Duo 2 E8400 processor (3.0GHz)
Seagate Hard Drive, Barracuda (250GB)
OCZ 600W StealthXstream PSU
Kingstonf HyperX 4GB (x2 2GB) DDR2 6400C5 8Mhz RAM

I already have a Nvidia 9800 installed but it is being choked by old hardware.

Just want some opinions on this possible system, will it run the forementioned games at high level graphics?

Thanks
Mini.

Yes i am happy with medium settings, i have a budget of £500 for this upgrade and what i listed above is going to cost £391 so i have a little room for increases. Not bothered with OC'ing, just need something that will hold everything together =]
The main focus for this rebuild os for the new IL2 game Battle Of Britain : Storm of War.

Thanks a lot guys! Very helpful.

I think this set up will run most new games nicely and thats all i'm after, a GOOD standard of high quality image and high FPS. I am sick of the days of stuggling to fly or shoot somebody, especially in poor graphics =]

I use a Nvidia card currently.
Ah it's all so confusing, i guess there is no definate answer, all i want is a good PC for all games, lol.
Arma 2, Il2 1946, FSX and when released Battle of Britain - Storm of War
