Fair bit of autogen scenery...CPU killer on mineI've got Active Sky X but clouds still look like cotton wool balls. In cities slows down, have to dial it back..

VFR scenery is ok- have wales, but you disable autogen buildings?

Its FEX that make the clouds look nice, activesky just sorts the weather
I have autogen on max, no vfr scenery in my pics, i think it looks too flat

Is that the latest 1.05 GEX, and version 2 FSGenesis ? Have you also got UTX Europe yet, if so how good is it ?
I installed 1.05 the day before last, but haven't got around to playing it yet
Yes its 1.05 gex, looks rly nice especially with the utx-specific stuff installed as well, havnt got utx europe yet, i just stick to flying in the us
It is fsgenesis v2, sorted nearly all of the airport plateau problems but it only covers west coast and like the northern border of the usa atm
btw these are the fex themes im using, seems a nice combo
(cloud=ionisphere, water=depths of realism, sky=naturalistic bliss wateranim=calm orbx)

Which setting do I need to use to enable Active Sky?
if you just click user defined, then start flight, a message should go across top of screen after a minute or so saying something like activesky is now active
