Hi
I'm in the gradual process of putting together the parts for a loop.
I'm going to be watercooling for the first time in my Ft02.
Loop will encompass CPU and GPU. Thanks to SpaceMonkey for the tips etc.
Case has already been modded with hdd removed. Going to look at new rivets and screws for the case, and sleeving. oh lord grant me the patience to sleeve, as colour-x looks sexy!
Currently waiting for MDPC . (forgot password on account, I was sent token, entered it, but nothing happened afterward, all a bit confusing tbh)Bless my girlfriend for her Christmas present, sleeving etc from MDPC
Currently my system build:
i5 3570k overclocked to 4.5ghz (temps at low 30degrees on idle)note; 8pack assisted OC.
Asus maximus V Gene z77 board (8pack recommended)
Corsair 8gb 1600
Noctua NH-D14
Evga 670 FTW ( sli in August)
Psu corsair Ax750 (will upgrade for sli to 850w)
Watercooling components
Radiator; SR1 560 hardwarelabs i looked at magicool, but was told the SR1 was very good in comparison.
Fans ; (suggestions for quiet running)
Pump; D5 ( suggestions?)
Pump top; (suggestions)
res; Tube res ( suggestions)
Tubing; Tygon or xspc
CPU and GPU; looking at Raystorm for both, I'm loving the led lighting.
Fittings; Probably bitspower.
Question#1
Will the radiator do a good job in cooling the loop. Novice question , but I do want better performance than my current system?
Question#2
The reason for a tube res is that I have a M-ATX board so I have a lovely bit of space, about 10cm of width and 20cm of height which would fit a tube. I did look at the aquacomputer Aqualis pump and res tube combo. Depends on its total size?
Other good tube res?
ill upload a picture to show what I mean later tonight.
Question#3
my 750w psu should cover things pre SLI ?
Sorry for being kind of standard post at this stage.i'm sure I'll come crying for help when installling the gear. Thread will save me time in future.
I looked into copper piping instead of plastic tubing. I couldn't be bovvered!
