FTP Backup

I need a software or something that can do automated backups from certain folders then copies them to an ftp backup server, this will need to be daily scheduled, if possible (not a necessity) email a user to say its been completed, does anyone know of any scripts/programs that can do this, pref ably free

I use syncbackse which is very good, and cheap. I use it for people to dump files in a dir which then gets FTP'd to a client every 10 mins (scheduler is very good)
