FTP in firefox. how?

ok im trying to upload some stuff onto my webpage but when i go to the ftp server in firefox it wont open the folder, it just lets me view the files. it workss in internet explorer, but i have to go to "view" and click "open ftp site in internet explorer", but i perfer firefox. so how can i get this to work

If you haven't already, you could download the firefox addon called FireFTP.

This is my primary FTP client at home and at work

I have Firefox portable at work but work consider it a security risk over IE.
