Hi All,
I have an online web server hosting a database which is encroaching 2GB and is growing daily!
It's a SQL based database which is backed up twice a day by the hosts so eating Data very very quickly!
What I'm looking to do is build a local box for the office which can automate bringing down these back-ups on a daily basis or weekly basis. The server is due an upgrade soon anyway but It then allows me to have the online back-up and also local back-ups just for piece of mind and also if I want to run some local development using the latest database etc ...
Can this be done and what would be a good build for this?
would have of these pre-made NAS boxes do the job, or am I looking at a custom build and running some FTP scripts to automatically bring the back-ups down?
Thanks.
