FTP Problem

Hi all,

You may or may not be able to help but this problem is giving me a headache.

I have a subcontractor working for me who cannot access our network so i have setup a FTP site for him.

He needs access to one folder on our server which (obviously) constantly changes. I can upload this to the FTP but dont want to do this on a twice daily schedule for the next x months.

Is there are programs that can automate this and is this the best way to do what i'm trying to do?

Microsoft's Synctoy will automatically synchronise the two folders when used with Scheduled Tasks.

However have you looked at setting up a basic VPN for the contracter so he can access the original folder?

Even something very simple like Hamachi may give him better access than he has now: https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/vpn.asp

We do use netscreen remote VPN but for some reason i have been told not to give him this....not sure why?!

I will give synctoys a try. Will this sync the folder on one windows 2003 file server to the FTP site?
